Meet Our Team

  • Jolyne Zaldivar-Clintonville, WI

    Spanish/English Interpreter & Translator

Owner and founder of Bridging Language Barriers LLC, an interpreting and translating service provider and resource center for our ever growing population of natives of foreign languages in Wisconsin, established in 2014. Since then, we have grown to sub-contracting interpreters for Spanish, French and American Sign Language. Our priority is in providing interpreting & translation excellence. Our team specializes in different areas of service; from medical, city and county law, insurance, employment, school, counseling, travel, church, funeral, pharmacy and financial. Many say I wear a lot of hats, but as a single mom my most favorite is being just that! My goal is just being present wherever I am :) I enjoy a good caramel latte or the brown sugar shaken espresso, cooking, watching movies and traveling with my classy 15 year old daughter Mia. She teaches me a lot! We love to play in the snow or at the beach with our 3 year old, 135 pound Great White Pyrenees dog, Elliot. I am a lifelong member of the Clintonville community and a native Spanish speaker. I have been an active community advocate for our growing Hispanic Community and give honor to my parents Israel J. Sr. & Antonia Acevedo for what I do today. I am the Director of New Life Hispanic Ministries of Calvary Apostolic Church, where I reside. I am very passionate about building genuine relationships and investing in our local community. The Compassionate Connections Center, a Non-Profit has provided an avenue for BLB to serve our Hispanic community with interpreting and translating needs in the most delicate areas closest to the heart of our city. We are honored to be part of their team and looking forward to the success of the City of Clintonville in its entirety and making Compassionate Connections! #ilovemycity “Service does not come from a manual, it comes from the heart.”

  • Maria Luciano-New London, WI

    Spanish/English Interpreter

I am a native of the Spanish language and am a graduate of the New London School District. As a young teen I became a participant of the DACA (Deferred Action Childhood Arrival) Program. I reside in the local area where I and my husband, Paununcio have raised five children. I find much joy in serving our local community and counties with Spanish interpreting needs. I find that interpreting is much more than a job, it is a way to bridge gaps where I can help minimize hardships for new families of the Spanish language that come to our area.

  • Patricia Wichman-Embarrass, WI

    Spanish/English Interpreter & Translator

My name is Patricia Wichman and I'm a native from Lima, Peru. I have been living in Wisconsin for the past 23 years after I married my husband Steven. I work in the educational field as a Bilingual Teacher in the area of Clintonville and as Spanish interpreter for the families in our schools and surrounding communities. I am glad to have this opportunity with BLB to keep expanding my services toward our hispanic community in Wisconsin.

  • Jennifer Wucinski-Weyauwega, WI

    French Interpreter

I was born and raised on the south side of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I first started learning French at Milwaukee French Immersion Elementary School. I continued studying French in high school, where I completed all of the French courses that they offered by my Junior year. I was able to keep studying French my Senior year by taking a class at Marquette University while still attending high school. After graduating high school, I continued improving my language skills by taking advanced courses in French literature and writing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2015, I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Studies with certificates in Medieval Studies, Middle Eastern Studies, and African studies. I wanted to make a difference in other people’s lives so I started volunteering with SEA Literacy of Milwaukee, a organization dedicated to improving the lives of refugee children in Milwaukee through literacy, cultural, and financial education. I became a Volunteer Coordinator, helping to orient new volunteers, run tutoring days, organize holiday events/field trips, and even provide transport for students. In 2020, I moved to Weyauwega to live on a small hobby farm with my fiancé. As the COVID-19 pandemic continued through the summer of 2020, I realized I could make a positive impact on the world by becoming a nurse. I became a certified nursing assistant to work and gain experience while in school. I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in February of 2023 and have been working as a nurse in an Intensive Care Unit. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, hiking, cycling, and crochet.
